Options available to help fund your childcare costs

Rosemount offers 30 hour places where possible, over 38 weeks of the year. We are open for 50 weeks of the year. In order for you to receive the additional hours, you will need to register with HMRC to prove eligibility.

The Government’s Childcare Service System for parents with children up to the age of 4 (as long as they are not in full time reception) is now live and will begin eligibility checking for the 30 hour free entitlement offer from 1st May 2017.

This means parents wishing to access the 30 hours free childcare entitlement starting in September, will now be able to apply using the system. If you believe you would be eligible for the 30 hour offer, please go online at: https://childcare-support.tax.service.gov.uk/par/app/applynow.

Parents who are deemed to be eligible will be issued with an eligibility code to present to us. The eligibility code will then have to be validated with Haringey Borough Council before a place can be confirmed. The validation of this code is done via the Department for Education’s Eligibility Checking System (ECS).

Once you have this eligibility code you must provide written consent to us, in order for the verification of the code to be carried out.

Please note if you are not eligible to the 30 hours, you will still be entitled to up to 15 hours of entitlement and will not need to register with HMRC.

Children aged 3-5 Years

Under the Single Early Years Funding Formula adopted by the London Borough of Haringey, every 3 and 4 year old child is entitled to up to 15 hours of free nursery education per week. A child qualifies for the funding in the term after their 3rd/4th birthday. Haringey Council have a rate level of funding for each financial year. The term after your child turns three they are entitled to free nursery education entitlement in the form of a grant (the so called ‘free entitlement’). We claim the grant on your behalf from the local council and they are then reimbursed by the government. Grants will be offset against your normal monthly nursery fees invoice. Eligible three and four year olds are entitled up to 15 hours to be taken.

For those children attending nursery over and above the 15 hours, the grant is administered in accordance with nursery policy. Details provided upon application.

Please take time to look through our document from Haringey Council entitled ‘free early education for three and four year olds in Haringey’. It is located in our reception.

The free entitlement funding from the council covers term time only (i.e. 38 weeks of the year).

We charge a fee for session time in excess of the free entitlement hours.

Employer Schemes

Did you know there are many Government-approved, tax efficient ways of paying for childcare? If you join a scheme, you can exchange various amounts per month of your gross salary for childcare vouchers. The part of your gross salary you exchange for childcare vouchers is tax-free and exempt from National Insurance, therefore giving you annual savings. At Rosemount we accept all employers voucher schemes. Below are some links of childcare voucher companies we regularly work with:
